Maribor, Pohorje Mountains, Slovenian Hills and Dravsko polje
Maribor, the city with the oldest vine in the world, is the second largest city in Slovenia and the capital of the Štajerska region.
The city, which lies in the embrace of Pohorje, flourishes in a sea of green forests and wine-producing hills, from the city’s hills to the Slovenske gorice Hills. And if anything, the Drava River gives it a special touch, weaving its way between Pohorje and the Kozjak Mountains, all the way to Maribor and further on along the Dravsko polje plain.
