Among Wild Alpine Flowers - Via Alpina - Red Trail
Three typical different alpine valleys in Julian Alps and different ways of life.
From Bohinj lake (520m) on First World War trail up to Komna plato (1300m) (mountain hut) than moderate hiking to mountain hut Seven Triglav lakes – 1.800m (overnight). Passing rest of seven Triglav lakes on Dolič mountain hut 2.300m . Possible ascent on Triglav (2864m)- 4hours up and down. Descent to Trenta valley – Info point of Triglav Nationa park (overnight). Transfer to Vršič pass and than over pass Sleme descent to Tamar, Planica with the biggest ski jumping centre in Slovenia and further to worldwide known Kranjska Gora- Alpine skiing.
The overnights are in small hotels wich are specialised for hikers and in mountain huts,
Walks are along the Slovenian part of Via Alpina Trail which starts in Monaco and ends in Austria and part on Sloveina high trail – the longest transslovenians trail.
1st day transfer to hotel Krim – Bled, visiting an old castle above the lake
2nd day walking around Bled lake,vist island of Bled with traditional pletna boat
In the afternoon visit of beatifull gorge Vintgar near Bled (possible short -1 hour
or longer-3 hours walk) .Overnight in Hotel Krim
3rd day transfer to Bohinj lake – biggest glacial lake in Slovenia in the middle of Triglav
National Parc – overnight in Hotel Stare at Bohinj lake
Visit lake and the valley Voje with the gorge Mostnica and one of the biggest
Slovenians waterfall Savica
4th day shuttle transfer to Ukanc, ascent on the old trail which was bulit in the first world
war to Komna mountain hut /3 hours/. Bohinj was during the war connected with
battles lines above Soča river.Another 2-3 hours easy walking to mountain hut at
the Seven Triglav lakes. Overnight.
5th day Hike to hut Dolič- 3 hours Nice, panoramic walk along Triglav seven lakes valley
Overnight in Dolič hut. Option: in the afternoon stip jump- 2 hours on the top of
highest Slovenians peak Mt. Triglav.
6th day Descent to the valley Trenta – 3 hours, visit Triglav National Parc centre and
overnight in Triglav National Centre lodge.
7th day shuttle transfer to Vršič pass, hiking 3 hours over pass Sleme with a view on the
most beatiful Slovenias mountain - Jalovec and descent to
Tamar amd Planica valley wellknown as a ski jump and nordic ski centre (3
hours), transfer to Hotel Lek ***, 4 hikers, Kranjska Gora, Lugage transfer from
Hotel Stare.
