Where the Soča leaves Kobarid and the valley widens, the village of Idrsko lies in the midst of extensive meadows in the foothills of Mt. Matajur.

Gourmet-hiking trip: join in the preparation of house bread and Kobarid struklji with the chef at the Jazbec Inn. While the dough balls and struklji are resting, you can take a hike along the Idrsko Historical Trail, visit numerous museums, the remains of World War I, the Kozjak Falls, the Napoleon Bridge, and finish the trip with a late lunch at the inn.
