Where the Soča leaves Kobarid and the valley widens, the village of Idrsko lies in the midst of extensive meadows in the foothills of Mt. Matajur.

While the dough balls and struklji are resting, you can take a hike along the Idrsko Historical Trail, visit numerous museums, the remains of World War I, the Kozjak Falls, the Napoleon Bridge, and finish the trip with a late lunch at the inn.
